About Elayne Hand
My name is Elayne Hand, I am originally from the UK. I moved to Western Australia where I lived for a number of years, and now, I reside in the North Island of New Zealand.
I am a relative newcomer to Photography, I picked up my first DSLR camera 4 years ago and I have never looked back. You could say, photography has taken me down a different path, it was my saviour and now, it is my passion. It has enabled me, to explore more of my creative side, keeps me on an even keel, it has encouraged me to travel more locally and start a blog about my travels.
Photography challenges me in many ways, sometimes pushing me out of my comfort zone, which is a good thing. My main interests are in Landscape, Abstract, Nature & Wildlife, and a good number of these photos, also find their way to my travel blog.
I never leave home without my backpack and cameras, they seem to be an extension of myself because 'you never know, what you may see or find while you are out and about'.
